The Channel F (also known as the VES, the Video Entertainment System) is a video game console released in August of 1976 by Fairchild Semiconductor, at a price of $170. The Channel F was the first truly programmable consoles to use interchangable cartridges. With primitive eight-color (four colors per line) graphics and a low resolution, not to mention a market polluted by Pong consoles, it didn't fare too well and eventually phased out as the Atari 2600 gained popularity.
